Best Kaiseki, Kappo and Other Haute Cuisine in Osaka
Consisting of multiple small dishes served one by one, kaiseki cooking is highly seasonal and rarefied. This style of Japanese fine dining is what inspired nouvelle cuisine and degustation menus. For most first-time visitors to Japan interested in food, kaiseki is a must-try genre.

Hirakata Park
A cheaper alternative to Universal Studios, Hirakata Park in Eastern Osaka is one of the oldest theme parks in Japan. It’s a delightfully nostalgic experience for adults and pure, old-fashioned fun for kids.

Central Osaka (Honmachi and Around)
Located between the major hubs of Kita and Minami, Honmachi and its adjoining districts form the center of Osaka. There’s not a huge amount to see here, but it’s a convenient place to stay.
